Belt, A Vintage, Concho, Sterling Silver, Harry Morgan, Vintage, 1039

A CONCHO BELT FOR THE TRUE COLLECTOR.

The late Harry Morgan was a widely renowned and highly revered Navajo silversmith; he came from a family of well-known artisans and served as a mentor to several others, including his brother-in-law, Kirk Smith. His work is highly sought after and collectible. This second-phase revival-style concho belt showcases the intricacy of his work, featuring classic oval scalloped conchos with heavy repousse, alternating with butterfly-style conchos, all arranged on a dark leather strap with an ornately stamped buckle. It’s a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.

Harry Morgan (1946-2007; Navajo). Revival or retro style; boxes; buckles; canteens.  Harry Morgan worked as a silversmith professionally since 1965. Brother of Henry and Pete Morgan. Father of Jacob Morgan. Nephew of Charlie Bitsui. Multiple award winner.
